2009 Illinois Blues Blast Debut Artist of the Year Nominee, Dave Herrero grew up in the Tampa Bay area obsessed with music and American blues and rock and roll of the 1950's and 60's. Sneaking out of military school to play in local blues clubs at age 15 is how he cut his teeth, which prompted his move to Austin, TX, to learn from the best.
