Dear Members,

Winter is back in Cleveland! It's time to get those snow brushes and ice scrapers back into the trunk of your cars. Living here in Northeast Ohio for the past 10 years now, I have truly embraced the notion of having all 4 seasons and look forward each year to breaking out my overcoat and gloves. But winter also means the end of a calendar year and so I always reflect back to the year we have had. Amazing programming events like Mardi Gras, Indians Opening Day, multiple Gourmet Dinners, numerous Speakeasy's (my favorite), Hot Havana Nights, Oktoberfest, Halloween, and our Annual Wine Bazaar have brought us many good times in the Foundation Room. Maybe you attended one our amazing concerts this year ranging from Dropkick Murphy's, Willie Nelson, and Iron & Wine to Warren Haynes, Jonny Lang, and BB King. We will continue to strive for a wonderful experience and hope that you as a member will continue to enjoy all the amenities a membership with us brings. From our Foundation Room family to yours, I do hope that you have a very blessed Holiday Season and a Happy New Year!

We have Karaoke every Thursday down in the restaurant, Crossroads at House of Blues, starting at 9 PM.

Sherlock Holmes!
He has been exploring Cleveland, investigating some hot spots and looking for mysteries to solve.

Savvy detectives who find one of his calling cards will receive a special discount to Ken Ludwig's "The Games Afoot" (or "Holmes for the Holidays") - on stage at The Cleveland Playhouse until Dec. 24. Blue Cheese Vinaigrette

• 4 oz Point Reyes Blue Cheese
• 1 oz shallots, peeled chopped
• 1/2 oz garlic, peeled chopped
• 6 oz red wine vinegar
• 1 Tbsp chopped parsley
• 1 cup apple juice
• 2 cups of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
• .75 tsp of kosher salt
• .25 tsp of black pepper

Yields about 3.5 cups

Combine all ingredients except oil in blender and blend until smooth, while blending slowly incorporate oil to emulsify. Just add Blue Cheese Vinaigrette to the salad of your choice and enjoy!
