Ian Atwood Dear Foundation Room Members,

Summer is officially over in Cleveland (how about that two weeks!) and it's time for one of my favorite times of year in Northeast Ohio. Red wine, dark beer, pumpkin bread, spiced lattes, and football are back in season.

Outdoor concerts have wrapped up for the year and I hope you were able to attend some of the amazing summer concerts House of Blues and Live Nation had to offer, but if not, have no fear, as the shows have moved back indoors and the calendar at House of Blues is full of amazing acts.

It's the perfect segue to remind you to stay on top of our weekly Tuesday e-blasts, which will not only inform you of awesome Member events happening each month in Foundation Room ranging from Gourmet Dinners to Happy Hours, but also all the new acts coming to House of Blues. Also be aware that our Gold and Silver Memberships will continue to get amazing presale offers for Live Nation shows coming to Quicken Loans Arena, Playhouse Square, Nationwide Arena, E.J. Thomas Hall, ect. via email and that those presale offers are time sensitive. Bronze Members please contact your Sales Manager, Nicole, at (216) 274-3329 for further details on how to receive this excellent benefit.

I look forward to seeing many of you in Foundation Room and a reminder that I am here for any dinner, access, or ticketing requests at (216) 274-3366 or by e-mail. You can also reach the Foundation Room podium after office hours at (216) 274-3370.

All the best,
Ian Atwood

Rickie Walters

Rickie Walters is our new Senior Foundation Room Operations Manager but she's no stranger to House of Blues. Enjoy this Q&A with Rickie.

How long have you been with House of Blues & what did you do prior to this position?
I have been here at the Cleveland House of Blues since we opened in November, 2004. I started as a Restaurant Server and after a year and a half of working in that capacity, I had the opportunity to move up and join the management ranks. While I was not looking to make a career here, that is exactly what happened. I managed the Restaurant for several years and even had a two year stretch of managing the Music Hall as well. The building, our guests and our staff have absolutely become my family, my friends, my home...and I could not be happier with that.

What was the first concert you ever attended and where?
My first concert is slightly up for debate as I am too old to remember. It was either, Michael Stanley Band at the Front Row or Ronnie James Dio at the Public Auditorium? My second (or third) concert was King Diamond. I was only 12 years old and boy was that great! I remember that like it was yesterday.

What are your hobbies?
Some of my favorite hobbies are traveling (I have been all over the States and eleven countries in Europe) reading History books, listening to music (Classic Rock, Metal and Classical music are my faves), anything relating to UFC and MMA (I am trained in Muay Tai so watch out!) and I enjoy volunteering my time and money to several different women's health organizations and cancer causes as well. I also like to try to give back and pay things forward.

What is your favorite thing about working at House of Blues?
It's hard to say what my favorite thing is about House of Blues. Can I just say everything? The guests, the art work, the venue, the staff, my wonderful boss Scott (who has afforded me too many opportunities to list) it is all of the above. It makes my hour commute here all the more worth it.

What do you most look forward to as our new Senior Foundation Room Operations Manager?
I look forward to building relationships with our Members and having a blast while doing it. I look forward to leading my team in a positive direction to enhance your experiences. I look forward to the challenges, trials and tribulations as well as all of the great times that I know we are going to have. I promise that you are in good hands and I will do my very best for you at all times. By the way, if you have not heard yet, people call me "Rickie Rocks" because well, without sounding vain, I do! Just wait, you will see!
