Matthew Nitsche, Foundation Room Director
Please welcome Matthew Nitsche to Foundation Room Las Vegas in his new position as Director. Before joining us, Matthew was the Director of Food & Beverage for Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino^® where he oversaw the casual dining outlets. Prior to Mandalay Bay, Matthew was at Green Valley Ranch where he served as Banquet Operations Manager.

Originally from Avon, Ct., Matthew received a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from the University of New Hampshire in Durham.

In his free time, Matthew enjoys having a great glass of wine, exploring local food and beverage hotspots, completing projects around the house and spending time with his family.

Enchanted, Magical Evening with Seth Grabel — 3/31
Members and dinner guests were treated to an amazing slight of hand magic performance from magician Seth Grabel. He performed up close, and left his audiences with an abundance of wonder and excitement, which only left them asking "How does he do that". Seth also performs every Friday and Saturday night in the Lounge from 10pm - 12am.

Morgan Wine Dinner — 4/20
We were honored to taste the 2008 Morgan Metallico Un-Oaked Chardonnay and hear the story behind the wine. Chef Jason did an excellent job in pairing the food with this exquisite wine.

Administrative Luncheon — 4/27
Members and guests took their assistants out of the office for a buffet-style lunch menu in the Dining Room for Administrative Professionals Day. Guests received a Foundation Room stationary set to take back to the office with them.

Mother's Day Brunch — 5/8
Members and guests honored their mothers with brunch in the Dining Room. Mother's enjoyed unlimited mimosas on their special day.

Ladies Night — 5/19
Ladies partied the night away with a hosted bar and hors d'oeuvres pin-up style for our annual Ladies Night. Bettie Page Clothing showcased their retro clothing line with a fashion show featuring Spokesmodel and Playmate Claire Sinclair.

It's All About the Guys Golfing, Cigars & More — 6/9
The guys enjoyed a full day of events. Starting off with a round of golf at Canyon Gate Country Club and back to the Foundation Room for scotch and whiskey tastings, complimentary cigars and of course Chef's delicious hors d'oeuvres.

Colin J Sturtevant, President & CEO
Colin Sturtevant is the President and CEO of Plus 6 Technologies, Inc. The largest provider of Cisco Telepresence and other visual communications products in Nevada. Plus 6 has clients in over a dozen countries including several of the Fortune 500. Currently experiencing high growth, Plus 6 has offices in Las Vegas, Phoenix and Los Angeles and is expanding into new markets.

"We love Foundation Room", says Colin. "It's a fantastic place to work with our clients in a relaxed, yet elegant setting. We often use the clubs in other cities as they provide a consistent experience for our guests." Lately Colin has used his membership to buy prime concert seats at the House of Blues, another perk his clients enjoy.

In his spare time, Colin is into fly-fishing, adventure trips and photography. He also likes to fly and has been a pilot for almost 6 1/2 years. His favorite Foundation Room events are the specialty drink tastings. It's a great opportunity to meet new people and learn something about the beverages he enjoys.

Dixon Keller, Director of Sales and Marketing
Dixon Keller is the Director of Sales and Marketing for Humana. Humana is a Fortune 100 company that markets and administers health insurance. Humana's diverse lines of business position them to serve many types of consumers, including seniors, military members, and self-employed individuals, and help consumers get more from their healthcare dollars. In Las vegas, Humana's largest line of business is Medicare.

Foundation Room is the best centerpiece to showcase our great city for out of town guests, as well as offering a great venue for small meetings and business discussions. With the pride of a museum curator, Dixon enjoys giving the 'tour' to guests. Dixon's favorite event is St. Patrick's Day, as its the most eclectic party in town!

Drawing Us Together
On May 6th, 36 young and emerging artists participated in the IHOBF's 1st Annual Drawing Us Together visual art exhibition and competition held in the Foundation Room.

The 2011 theme was 'Las Vegas - A City of Music'. The theme challenged the artists to create original works that explore and celebrate the vital role of music and music-making in city life. Winners' work will be used in the design of an IHOBF Action for the Arts retail product - with all proceeds from sales supporting arts programs for local youth.
