The International House of Blues Foundation's Action for the Arts Initiative (AFTA) supports school and community-based music and visual arts programs in which students learn to play musical instruments (guitar, drums, percussion) and participate in visual arts projects.

This spring as part of the Action for the Arts Initiative, IHOBF-Los Angeles conducted a multi-week Mural Arts Project at Hamilton High School. Students were asked to consider their relationship to music and to create visual representations of the historical significance and transformative powers of music. On June 12th, the mural was unveiled during a special culminating event that included a short film about the making of the mural and a special performance by the Blues SchoolHouse Band.

We launched our first Weekly Event - Bubbles on Sunset. We had a DJ at 7 pm. Foundation Room offered complimentary Glass of Bubbles to the Ladies along with 1/2 off Appetizers and a Special Dinner for 2 on a Prix-fix Shared Menu for $35.

Rock 'n Roll Wine Tasting - 07.10

The exclusive Foundation Room held its second Rock 'n Roll Wine Event, a truly unique and energetic evening of live music and wine tasting. The event included 5 wine stations with mouth watering wines from around the world and a light selection of hors d'oeuvres paired with music by acoustic sensation, Jeremy Cornwell.
