Live Nation

House of Blues joined the Live Nation network in 2006, extending Live Nation’s reach across North America through one of the most recognizable names in live music.

"We have great respect for the House of Blues employees and what they have accomplished and we look forward to welcoming them into the Live Nation family,” said Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino regarding the union.

Today, Live Nation and House of Blues share a common goal: bring the power of live music to more fans than ever. Since 2006, House of Blues has opened locations in Dallas, Houston, Boston, and Anaheim, among others. It now owns over 75 venues across the United States, 22 of which have been named to the Top 25 Clubs in America list by Billboard Magazine.

About Live Nation

Live Nation began as a live entertainment subsidiary of Clear Channel Communications. In 2005, Live Nation spun off from Clear Channel and narrowed its focus to the music industry. Michael Rapino, a Clear Channel executive at the time, was named President and CEO of Live Nation.

In 2010, Live Nation merged with Ticketmaster to form Live Nation Entertainment, which also encompasses other brands including Live Nation Premium Tickets. Live Nation Entertainment is now the largest live entertainment company in the world and continues to enhance the fan experience through strategic investments and technology innovation.

Supporting Students

Live Nation is a proud supporter of the House of Blues Music Forward Foundation, an organization dedicated to inspiring the next generation of music industry leaders. Along with Music Forward and the Living Legacy Foundation, Live Nation offers scholarship opportunities to students who wish to pursue careers in the music industry. In 2016, Live Nation established three scholarships in the areas of concert promotion, ticketing services, venue operation, sponsorship, and artist management.
