About The Soul Juice Band:
The Soul Juice Band is a powerhouse, horn driven soul, funk and roots music band from Las Vegas that performs a dynamic and inspirational show for any audience. The Soul Juice Band's funky B3, heavy guitar and live horns cause people of all ages to get on their feet and move by delivering a groove and sound that is unique in the industry. Formed in 2016, The band mixes elements of funk, soul, rock, gospel and jazz to give listeners an amazing experience they will never forget.
The Soul Juice Band was proud to be recognized as "The Best Brass Band" in Las Vegas for 2017 by NPR Nevada in the Desert Companion Magazine. The band's credits include playing at Container Park, Sand Dollar Lounge, Bunkhouse Saloon, The Smith Center, Big Dog's Brewery, Fremont Street and finishing a 6 month residency at Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip. The band has been gaining more notoriety and has opened for national acts Niki Crawford and recently for Big Sam's Funky Nation at the Brooklyn Bowl. The band has become a festival attraction in closing The Pigs For Kids Festival and playing at the Neon Reverb Festival and the UNLV Reb Fest in Las Vegas. The band just released their first single "Brown" on all platforms in April, and is recording their first album with a release date of August 2018.
The band is made up of gritty, lead vocalist Dave Tatlock, keyboardist/band leader David Rogers, guitarist Craig Morgan, bass player Alan Butterfield and drummer Matthew Hughes. Two trumpet players, Lance Aguirre and Anthony Marentic; trombone player, Kevin Mullinax; bari sax player Justin Marquis; and tenor sax player Mark McArthur round out the band and help create the unique and original horn parts that sets this band apart from so many.
