ABOUT WE CAME AS ROMANS

Brotherhood lasts forever. No matter what happens, those bonds endure in memories and moments. We Came As Romans hold a similar link between them. After nearly 15 years together, countless sold out shows, critical acclaim, and over 250 million streams, the Michigan quintet—Joshua Moore [guitar], Dave Stephens [vocals], Lou Cotton [guitar], Andy Glass [bass], and David Puckett [drums]—weather their darkest time and emerge stronger in the name of a fallen brother and member: Kyle Pavone. The group soldier ahead with a sixth full-length opus befitting of his memory. After Kyle’s death in 2018, they made a careful decision to push forward, returning to the road with Bullet For My Valentine before gathering themselves in the studio with longtime collaborator Nick Sampson [Asking Alexandria, Born Of Osiris] and seeking perspective from Drew Fulk [Motionless In White, Lil Peep].

We Came As Romans introduce this next chapter with a pair of singles, “Carry The Weight” and “From The First Note.” Evocative clean guitar echoes at the beginning of “Carry The Weight” before giving way to a hammering groove and cathartic screams that culminate on a hypnotic chant—one of the band’s most irresistible. Meanwhile, “From The First Note” hinges on thick guitars as it delivers a fast and furious elegy. Steamrolling forward on a punk gallop, the chorus rings out, “I can’t replace you.”

In the end, the brotherhood between We Came As Romans lives on.

ABOUT THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA

The road, literally and figuratively, brought The Devil Wears Prada to their sixth full-length album Transit Blues [Rise Records]. In many ways, the group—Mike Hranica (vocals), Jeremy DePoyster (rhythm guitar, clean vocals) and Andy Trick (bass), with the recent addition of Kyle Sipress (guitar)—has embraced transition and change since their 2005 formation. After the pivotal breakout With Roots Above and Branches Below in 2009, the boys challenged the status quo and notched widespread critical acclaim, landing two consecutive Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 for the conceptual Zombie EP [2010] and Dead Throne [2011]. 2013’s 8:18 continued to expand their imprint on heavy music, while the intergalactic concept epic Space EP most recently blasted off to a #18 debut and praise from Alternative Press, Loudwire, and more. Along the way, they’ve treaded countless miles on sold out headline tours, on the Vans Warped Tour multiple times, and in tow with Motörhead, Slayer, and Slipknot. Throughout the past decade-plus, the band charted a course to this juncture.

ABOUT GIDEON

With a sound that evokes the no-holds-barred, mosh pit-destroying hardcore of Earthmover and Snapcase, Gideon breathe new life into the lurching hardcore sound of the late '90s by incorporating elements of punk and melodic metalcore shot through with a positive message. Emerging in the early 2010s, the band rose to the upper echelons of the post-hardcore scene in 2017 with the release of their acclaimed fourth long-player, Cold.

Formed in 2008 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Gideon bring a newfound intensity to that classic, lurching early Victory Records chug and kick it into high gear. With just the right amount of gang vocals to balance the whole thing out, it's no surprise that the band grabbed the attention of Facedown Records, which signed them in 2011 and released their debut album, Costs, later that year. 2012's aptly named Milestone marked Gideon's first Billboard appearance, cracking the Top 20 on both the U.S. Heatseekers and Christian Albums charts. The group worked with prominent metal producer Will Putney on their third album, 2014's hard-hitting Calloused, which peaked at the number four slot on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart.

In 2017, Gideon made the move from Facedown to Equal Vision and released their fourth studio long-player, Cold, which proved to be their most successful outing to date. 2019's sonically punishing EP No Love/No One and full-length effort Out of Control saw the band push their crushing sound into an even heavier direction. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi

ABOUT DAYSEEKER

Casting off the conventions of the post-hardcore genre, Dayseeker offers up their expansive fourth LP, Sleeptalk. After several years of hard-nosed touring throughout North America and Europe (including impressive showings on the final cross-country Vans Warped Tour) the Southern California natives returned to home and establish their new sound in familiar territory. Entering the studio with budding producer and close personal friend, Daniel Braunstein, the band embraces a uniquely Los Angeles sound - showcasing decades of influence all wrapped within the band’s core identity. From opening track to closing note, it’s clear that the band has discarded what may have been expected and instead chosen to embrace something most artists struggle to ever find: themselves. - Garrett Russell
