THE PRINCE OF NEW YORK, DJ SELF

Influencing countless Hip Hop music and culture heads, DJ Self curates culture through music reaching people across different audiences with a reputation that continues to rise exponentially across corporate and sub-cultural platforms. He's known for breaking new records, as super producer, and for constantly crumbling barriers in the music industry.

As the first DJ ever to successfully transition from the airwaves to your television screen as a member of VH1's hit series LOVE AND HIP HOP NEW YORK, DJ Self prides himself on being raised in the Golden Era of Hip Hop. Hailing from Fort Greene, Brooklyn, Self knew early on how he desired to impact the world and what type of footprint he wished to leave on the colossal culture we all know as Hip Hop.

Self found himself rapidly rising through the ranks by dominating an array of nightclubs, diversified parties, and mixtapes. His talents soon took him international; mastering the turntables in Mexico, Berlin, Germany, London and Tokyo!

As an industry go-to, DJ Self has hosted private events for artists to athletes including Alicia Keys, Fabolous, Mos Def, and the late Big Ang to NBA player, Tracy McGrady, as well as publications like XXL! Self's charismatic character and contagious personality soon led him to Sirius Satellite Radio (Shade 45) and ultimately to one of the largest radio networks in the country, iHeartRadio Power 105.1 from New York City. DJ Self has become the voice of his city — broadcasting every week night on the highly-rated Power 105.1!
