Artist Info:

Bustout Burlesque brings back authentic 1950s-style burlesque by presenting beautiful and talented striptease dancers accompanied by a live traditional jazz band. With a comic emcee, singer, and variety acts, the show truly brings you back to the glory days of Bourbon Street.

Bustout Burlesque routinely features some of the world’s top stars of burlesque, including Queen of Burlesque title-holders from the prestigious New Orleans Burlesque Festival, reality TV stars, and many more.

Bustout Burlesque is the home of the new Evangeline the Oyster Girl. The act was passed on to Ginger Valentine by the original Oyster Girl, Kitty West. Miss West performed this act on Bourbon Street in the 1940s and ’50s, and was featured in the pages of LIFE Magazine. In 2013, Bustout Burlesque created the first burlesque striptease on ice with former professional figure skater.

The show premiered on March 13, 2005 at One Eyed Jacks in the French Quarter. Since then, Bustout Burlesque had weekly runs at Tipitina’s French Quarter and the Royal Sonesta Hotel. At the Sonesta, Bustout Burlesque brought burlesque back to Bourbon Street for the first time in decades! In March 2007, Bustout Burlesque moved to the main stage at House of Blues, where the show continues to perform monthly.

In July 2010, Cointreau presented two sold-out shows of “Dita Von Teese and Special Guests in association with Bustout Burlesque” at the House of Blues. In 2012, Travel Channel listed Bustout Burlesque as one of the “Top 10 Burlesque Shows” worldwide. Since then, Bustout Burlesque has appeared on the MTV series MADE and HBO’s Treme. Bustout Burlesque was also featured in the documentary feature Tchoupitoulas.

Bustout Burlesque continues to be at the forefront of the local and national scene, bringing you the most beautiful and talented stripteasers from coast to coast, dancing to the sounds of a hot New Orleans jazz band!
