About the Artist:

Jason Bishop. A singer, songwriter, and performer born in the Lone Star State in a town called Sherman, Texas. Later moving to Louisiana, Jason eventually started a musical career frequently playing New Orleans' most popular clubs of the world famous Bourbon Street. Jason's many styles of music range from funk, R&B, Blues, Rock, Zydeco, Cajun and traditional Country, versatile in being a utility player to band leader, fronting most bands he was associated with. No matter what genre that is being performed, Jason has had the unique ability to make any song his own without compromising the integrity of the genre. A particular skill that has served him well.

Fronting his own band, The Two Dollar Pistols, he has taken on the mantle of writing, performing, and preserving the musical legacy of traditional country. Introducing people unfamiliar to a wonderful style of music that is not readily available in it's true form anywhere in the Crescent City. He delivers when it comes to presenting his talent, be it a small intimate solo performance or a full band at a festival. Jason has traveled the U.S. with his own band, Jason Bishop & The Two Dollar Pistols, and his former band, Garlick Truck.
