About the Artist:
Matthew “Baby Boy” Bartels is the songwriter, guitarist and leader of the group Baby Boy Bartels and The Boys. He will be performing songs from their debut record "The Ballad of Johnny Loveless.” Hailing from San Francisco, California, he moved to New Orleans to learn the traditions of the city's music and create a record that combined these traditions with his DIY Indie roots. Influnced by Delta and 40/50’s electric Blues, traditional Jazz and classic Country. His unique songwriting encompasses these classic styles ans molds them into a more contemporary format.
