From the mind of composer/bandleader Benjamin Muñiz Matlack, “Freedom In The Groove” aims to fuse together aspects of pure improvisation and hip hop rhythms for dancing. A strong departure from traditional free jazz, Freedom In The Groove explores sonic possibilities while staying strongly grounded in the beat. Featuring Sam Taylor on tenor saxophone, Tanner Guss In drums, and Benjamin Muñiz Matlack on the six string electric bass.
Freedom in the Groove will play in the Foundation Room from 6PM-9PM.
