Special vinyl sets will be performed by local DJs Ill Medina, Tony Skratchere, and Professor Longhair from 8-11pm. Plus, we'll be serving FREE donuts in the lounge in honor of J Dilla's 2006 album "Donuts".

James Yancey, better known as J Dilla, is one of the most influential artists and producers in underground hip hop. Starting his career in Detroit, Michigan as a teenager, he quickly made a name for himself as a revolutionary rapper and beatmaker with his group Slum Village. Later on in his life, he became known for working amongst names such as The Pharcyde, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Erykah Badu, Questlove, Madlib, and Kanye West to name a few. After having passed too soon in 2006, fans and musicians around the world come together every year around his birthday to celebrate his name and works.

Foundation Room Lounge opens at 5PM. Our bartender is here all night to mix you a refreshing beverage. Don’t miss our new happy hour Tuesday through Thursday from 5-7PM offering $5 bites and sips.
