Margie Perez Singer, Songwriter Bio: 

Margie Perez is a vivacious Singer and Songwriter specializing in a versatile blend of Blues, Pop, and Latin with a New Orleans Funky touch. Dubbed by Offbeat Magazine as "One of the hardest working musicians in New Orleans" she leads her own band which performs her original music. Her 2017 release “Love Is All” was named one of “Offbeat’s” 50 Favorite CD’s and received 3 “Best of the Beat” award nominations. She was featured on WWNO’s “Music Inside Out” with Gwen Thompkins and has been honored with Positive Vibrations Foundation’s Heartbeat Musicians Award. She most recently appeared singing with Harry Connick Jr on his 2020 CBS special “United We Sing”.

She is also co-leader of Muevelo, a hot Latin Big Band, sings with Afro-Cuban Sacred music band Michael Skinkus & Moyuba, as well as Kumasi Afrobeat Orchestra, N.O.B.A.B.E. the powerhouse collective of female musicians, The M&M's, a super group including members of Galactic, Papa Mali and John Medeski, as well as collaborations with many other talented New Orleans musicians.
