Australian musician Nai Palm co-founded Hiatus Kaiyote in 2011, blending jazz, hip-hop, and neo-soul into their soulful indie sound. Their music gained rapid acclaim, influencing artists like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and Anderson Paak, who sampled their tracks in hit records. After the success of their 2015 album "Choose Your Weapon," Palm ventured into a solo project. Recorded in the Australian desert, her 2017 album "Needle Paw" took a minimalist approach, featuring guitar and layered vocals, offering intimate covers, originals, and reinterpreted Hiatus Kaiyote tracks.
